GIULIO TURCI è nato a Santarcangelo di Romagna (Italia) il 1 gennaio 1917.
Egli è uno dei tanti pittori autodidatti che hanno raggiunto la maturazione stilistica senza influssi di scuole o di correnti.
Dopo una prima fase dedicata ai paesaggi ed ai boschi, Turci ha svolto con criteri naturalistici il tema del lavoro umano come si presentava ai suoi occhi nell’immediato dopoguerra, quando ferveva in Italia l’opera della ricostruzione. In seguito egli ha trovato nella spiaggia del mare lo scenario più congeniale e costante dei suoi quadri, ove il mondo del riposo, del gioco, dello spettacolo si trasfigura in stupore assorto e trasognato. L’artista si rivela in questa fase matura un miracoloso veggente della luce, soffusa in lucore pudico per diventare involucro raccolto dell’enigma silente.
I quadri di questo pittore meditativo esercitano un fascino irresistibile con la delicatezza delle loro cromie, con il clima surreale della loro atmosfera immobile e misteriosa. Essi hanno ottenuto ambiti riconoscimenti in mostre e concorsi, ed arricchiscono numerose collezioni italiane e straniere.

GIULIO TURCI est, comme tant d’autres, un peintre autodidacte dont le style a mûri sans qu’une Ecole ou un courant ne l’influence.
Après s’être attardé aux paysages,au milieu sylvestre, l’oeuvre de l’artiste s’attache dans une optique naturaliste, au thème du travail humain, comme il se révèle à ses yeux quand, dans l’immédiat après-guerre, la tache de la reconstruction brûlait dans les veines du pays.
Viennent ensuite, inspirations constantes de ses toiles, la plage et la mer, dont le repos, le jeu et le spectacle se peignent de profond étonnement nuancé d’enchantement.
Dans celte phase de maturité l’artiste devient un magicien de la lumière; lueur mouillée et pudique, elle se fai! coquillage du silence énigmatique.
La délicatesse des couleurs, l’ambiance surréelle de l’atmosphère immobile et mystérieuse qui baignent les tableaux de ce peintre de la méditation, exercent un charme envoûtant.
Des expositions et des concours ont conféré à ces oeuvres les honneurs qu’elles méritent; elles sont au nombre des toiles qui font le prestige de collections italiennes et étrangères.

GIULIO TURCI wurde am 1. Januar 1917 in Santarcangelo in der Romagna (Italien) geboren. Er gehört zu den zahlreichen Malern, die als Autodidakten zu ihrer künstlerischen Reife gelangt sind, ohne sich von bestimmten Stilrichtungen oder Schulen beeinflussen zu lassen.
Nachdem Turci in der Frühphase seines Schaffens vor allem Landschaften und Wälder gemalt hatte, wandte er sich später in naturalistischer Weise dem Thema Arbeitswelt zu, so wie sich diese in den italienischen Nachkriegsjahren, in der Zeit des eifrigen Wiederaufbaus, seinem Auge darbot.
In der Folgezeit fand er schließlich im Meeresstrand das ihm selbst verwandeste und beständigste Motiv seiner Bilder, in denen die Welt der Ruhe, des Spielerischen und Großartigen sich zu traumverloren andächtigem Staunen verklärt. In dieser seiner Phase der Reife offenbart der Künstler seine wunderbar seherische Gabe zur Erfassung des Lichtes, das in seinem keuschen Glanze dem schweigenden Geheimnis zur Hülle wird.
Mit ihren zarten Farbtönen, mit dem surrealen Hauch ihrer unbeweglichen und geheimnisvollen Stimmung, üben die Bilder dieses meditativen Malers einen unwiderstehlichen Reiz aus.
Si e haben bei Ausstellungen und Wettbewerben angesehene Auszeichnungen erhalten und bereichern zahlreiche Sammlungen in Italien wie im Ausland.

GIULIO TURCI was born at Santarcangelo in Romagna (Italy) on January 1st 1917.
He is one of the many self-taught artists who have reached their stylistic maturity without influences from any trend or school.
After a primary phase dedicated to woods and landscapes, Turci developed the theme of human work with naturalistic criterions as it presented itself to his eyes in the immediate post-war period, when there ocurred in Italy the fervent work of reconstruction.
In succession, he found in the sea-shore the scenary most favoured and constant in his paintings, where the world of repose, of play and of spectacle is transformed into dreamy, absorbed stupor. The artist reveals in this mature period 2 miraculous insight into light, a suffusion of pure brightness, which becomes enveloped in a collection of silent enigma.
The paintings of this meditative artist exert an inescapable fascination with the delicacy of their colour tones and with the surreal climate of their immobile and mysterious atmosphere. They have gained covetted recognition in exhibitions and competitions and enrich numerous Italian and foreign collections.
GIULIO TURCI died on February 3rd 1978
